The Englewood Environmental Commission recently welcomed Englewood Police Officer, Ron Johnson; Lifelong Englewood Resident, Crystal Brown; and Englewood Citizen, Erica Martinez as new appoitnees to the board by Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes.

The commission was established in response to the law passed by NJ State Legislature in 1968 authorizing municipalities to set up advisory conservation commissions on open space preservation.

"I will rely on the members of the Englewood Environmental Commission to review development applications and make recommendations to the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment," commented Mayor Wildes. "...and would like to see the original vision of the Master Plan maintained."

To help define further the mission of the Englewood Environmental Commission, Mayor Wildes invited board members to view former Vice President, Al Gore's companion documentary to his book, "An Inconvenient Truth."
